‘We Live In Constant Fear In Our Home’: Sorority SUES For Being Forced To Include A Transgender Member

The University of Wyoming is being sued by a group of sorority sisters from Kappa Kappa Gamma over having a transgender ‘woman’, a biological man, be put into the group, causing the biologically female members to “live in constant fear in our home.”

The transgender member, named Artemis Langford and stands at 6-foot-2 and 260 pounds, first joined the sorority organization in September 2022. Langford has been living near the sorority house and was going to be moving into the chapter’s house this coming year, per Cowboy State Daily. Langford also will often stay for meals in the house and attend events with the women in the sorority, according to the suit’s attorney on Megyn Kelly’s podcast

The filed suit refers to Langford by the pseudonym of Terry Smith and uses ‘he’ and ‘him’ pronouns to refer to the individual.

“It’s a weird, gut-wrenching feeling that every time I leave my room there’s a possibility that I’ll walk past him in the hall,” one of the sorority sisters, Hannah, told Kelly. “It’s a weird feeling just to know that I could run into him anytime … (he has) full access to the house. But this just goes to show like we need women’s spaces for that reason.”
